Youth Waterfowl Hunting Day: A Fun and Free Outdoor Experience
Dunkirk, Maryland – Huntin’ With Jacob a 501(c)(3) organization and Chesapeake Longbeards is excited to announce an exciting opportunity for young outdoor enthusiasts to discover the world of waterfowl hunting. Join us for our Youth Waterfowl Hunting Day, a free event designed to introduce youth to the rewarding sport of waterfowl hunting in a safe, educational, and fun environment.
This event will take place on February 8, 2025 at Premier Hunting Blinds throughout Southern Maryland, and is open to selected youth ages 16 and under. Participants will enjoy:
• Guided Waterfowl Hunt: Learn the basics with expert mentors.
• Skill-Building Games: Practice essential techniques and build confidence.
• Retriever Demonstrations: Watch skilled hunting dogs in action.
• Contests and Giveaways: Win exciting prizes and take home great memories.
• Hot Lunch: Share stories and refuel with a warm meal after the hunt.
Whether you’re new to waterfowl hunting or looking to expand your skills, this event promises an unforgettable day of learning, connection, and adventure.This event is open to licensed hunters, age 16 and younger. Parent attendees will be accommodated within limits of space and transportation.
Children and young adults who have not completed the hunter safety program should complete the Maryland Apprentice Program and obtain the apprentice license along with the Maryland Waterfowl stamp.
